I used this technique about 12 years ago when my Kodak shutter became
sluggish and weird (as they are wont to do). I was photographing a band
(Tony Trishka and Skyline) in a dimly lit bar so, using "B", I opened
the shutter, triggered the flash manually, then let it close. The pics
turned out fairly well with the exception of some movement of light
fixtures and EXIT signs which, for me, added to the interest.
