RBT Mounts

I like RBT mounts very much.  One thing I want to point out is that once
I found that 90% of my slide pairs are such that the right view has to
be .1mm higher than the left, it's almost always a cinch to put the
rails in that position and pop the slides in with perfect vertical
alignment.  Why my camera has such a disparity is a question--is this
a typical tolerance?  Even more mysterious to me is the one-in-ten that
line up perfectly _without_ the .1mm offset.

(Anyone think that the anti-newton glass reduces the sharpness in a
Red Button quality viewer over no glass??--or am I imagining things...)
