Some postings over the weekend addressed the use of AC adaptors or batteries.
Economy, quality of illumination, ease of use, and portability are all
important considerations, but let's not forget environmental impact: those AA
and D cells (even rechargeables) are eventually going to wind up in a
landfill. IMO, we should attempt to do whatever we can do to reduce the
amount of trash we produce.
