I agree with Dennis...and in fact all my EMDE or Albion Glass mounted ( yes I
do in fact use these mounts , even though I have boatloads of RBT's) with
anti newton never rasied much of an eyebrow as being duller or fuzzier out in
my neck-o-the woods
For one thing....I use the EMDE or Albion with glass when there is major
protection required from other little fingers that may not care about my
slides as much as I do. I mount for other photographers occasionally who
need this and I give them two sided glass EMDE or ALBION....depending on
cropping requirements.
The purposeand design of the glass in RBT mounts is more to hold the image
flat in the mount for projection....and not for protection and
archiving.....so dont look to an RBT as an archival storage medium...the
glass is not made for that purpose.
