Re Nimslo 8 lenses camera

I have one of the four lens cameras refered to and have used it to take
hypostereo close up of non moving subjects and I tried with slide film
mounting in viewmaster reels but the chips are still a bit large despite
being 1/4 frame.
They seem to have originated in Japan or China as the Selby revolver but
were sold in the UK as the Action Tracker for about 17.50 sterling so they
were quite cheap in both senses of the word as they have plastic meniscus
lenses. The price dropped to about 2.50 for unsold new stock although some
people have been asking that much for them second hand. After they first
came out there was some publicity about an 8 lens version to be called the
Octopus I wonder if this is what Fuji are producing although I ahve heard
of a polaroid camera for checking Golf swings etc called the Check Polaphy.
If the 8 lens camera is like the Action Tracker in having one row above the
other it will have a half frame format with a further horizontal division .
Perhaps the printers of four image lenticulars could print them to produce
moving 3D lenticulars . This would be more convenient than the method I
tried of making a sliding shutter for a Nimslo. P.J.Homer
