New 3D software

As I mentioned in my previous post, there is graphic magazine this
month featuring a few anaglyph pics. There is also an interesting
article about a new 3D stereo graphics program that will create
rotatable objects and animations in different formats such as
anaglyph and also (it looks like, not sure) LCD shutter glasses.
Of course there are graphics programs that can do everything mentioned
below but not as easily. This program seems to be written with 3D
stereo in mind and the price is right.

Here is the extract from the magazine.

Canadian software company releases low cost 3D tool for comsumer market.

Media Synergy, a Canadian pioneer in 3D consumer software tools, has
released its latest product.
Stereo VR, which began shipping in July, offers real-time, stereographic
3D animation to the Windows 95 market. With object linking and embedding
support, it lets users drop 3D stereo animations and fonts into
different types of business documents. The EZ Path Animation feature
makes objects fly on pre-built paths, and 3D spatial control manipulates
them in cyberspace.
Stereo VR provides a great introduction to 3D stereoscopic graphics and
animation. Users can create 3D stereoscopic screen savers, business
presentations or logos, then bring them right out of the monitor by
viewing them with the 3D glasses included with the program. Automatic
Stereopsis eliminates the need to go through the painstaking process
of creating stereoscopic pairs. EZ-Stereo technology lets anyone make
sophisticated stereo images in seconds.
Stereo VR is compatible with VR Workshop+, 3D PRO, CorelDraw, ABC
Graphics Suite, Microsoft Publisher and other popular graphics programs.
Users can convert clip art into a 3D model, assign it a path then drop
it back into any Windows application such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Stereo VR is priced at $39.95 US. An inexpensive must for the 3D nut.
