Re Reconstructing unfocussed images
This is an old topic but I have just located my source which I could not do
at the time . It is from the Time Life books on photography the one called
Frontiers of Photography . The example shown is of a poorly focussed
photograph of a binocular microscope a transparency is made of the image
together with one from any small point on the image .A hologram is then
made from the transparency of the point and laser light is then shone
through the transparency of the image and a clarifying filter made up of
the transparency of the point and its hologram sandwitched together (as far
as I can remember) . I do not claim to understand how this works and the
final image is not that much sharper after all this. P.J.Homer
