EDIXA IIIA

Hi all,

I yesterday received the EDIXA IIIA (with rangefinder and incorporated
lightmeter) from London. Remember, the very first stereocamera I ever laid
my eyes on and never saw again in 15 years ? (I then bought the much cheaper
Stereo Graphic instead).
Thanks to the whole Belplasca discussion I found out about the existence of
CLASSIC CAMERA in London and, next to the Belplsca's, they had one for sale.
And is she *is* a beauty. 
When I ran a test roll however,I nearly had an hart attack. The shutter
wouldn't fire. 30 minuts and many attempts later, I was allmost crying
(hasn't happened since my dog died, many years ago) <:-(
When I was about to call the shop I bought it from to discuss it's return, I
was giving it a last desperate try. They *had* claimed the camera was in
perfect working order so there was still a chance *I* was doing something
wrong. 
I remembered I had a "problem" with another camera before due to the fact I
didn't have a manual at the time of purchase. 
And yes, after some fumbeling I found that when advancing the film and
feeling resistance, I had to push through the resistance to cock the shutter.
Slow at lower speeds (1 sec, 2 sec) problems aside, it works perfectly. :-)

Now, are there any other people who have an EDIXA IIIA ? Can anyone help me
to a copy of the manual ? 

I hope the sky brightens op a little this week-end so that I can test it
"for real".
