Again, it isn't the *ability* to adapt that I was speaking of.
The definition of "realistic" I have been using has been the literal
one. That is, the image captured in the 3D photo is realistic
if it shows an image exactly as would be seen in real-life without
the photographic "system" inserted between event instantiation and viewing.
I then expanded to consider dynamics as it applies to that
literal definition of "realistic".
I'm not "defending" Ferwerda's statement so much as to say that
he had a good point when taken literally and narrowly.
