For Sale: motion lenticulars, 3Discover

A little more information about the Kodak motion lenticulars which I
mentioned earlier. Someone (rdi) wrote me and mentioned similar Star Trek
lenticulars which were earlier reported in this group. I checked and
those were also done by Kodak with the same process, by the same group
which has released the new series of football cards. From what I understand
you had to buy lots of something (cards?) to earn the right to
order the lenticulars at $30-40 each. This group also produced some
cards for Fleer/Skybox, but now they (Motion Vision)
are marketing the new cards on their own, selling into the traditional
sports card market. Their first release is a series of 12 transmission
lenticular football cards. The images are produced from 16 mm game films
which is supposed to make them even higher quality than those produced
earlier from video images.
A friend of mine bought a bunch of these cards so if they are not
available near you and you want some they are $6 each. Now, to make this
post about 3D, I also have a few 3Discover viewers available for $45.
They come with two picture reels, Discover America and the Grand Canyon.
Email me (not the list) if interested.
On another subject: I forgot to mention during the earlier discussion
about using a laser to illuminate a scene that doesn't make sense until it
is viewed in 3-D, that I have two anaglyph examples of this on my web site
mentioned below. Of course, the original slides are much better than the
anaglyph representation but you can get the idea.
