Scanning 3-D views

Hello again 333DDDites,

I don't contribute often these days, but I do still enjoy reading the list,
although some days I do fall behind...I'm sure nobody else does #8-)

My Web site has become a "cobweb" site and I was thinking about doing a
little updating, with additional emphasis on 3-D, which might also involve
adding some historical 3-D views from my collection. One question comes to mind.

Does anyone know the impact the bright light from a flatbed scanner will
have on the images to be scanned? I have enough concern about exposing views
that are 80 to 120 years old to the light during the brief time I enjoy
viewing them. What damage might I be doing by exposing them to the intense
light of a scanner during that process? I am concerned that it might not be
worth the risk. Any input would be appreciated before I proceed.

BTW - Dr. T & Jon...Since I was the first to post regarding the TDC-16
projector and heat (months ago), I am doing a little experimenting with my
own "hot" projector and will send something as soon as I have some answers
or am completely befuddled. My early observations suggest that the RBT
mounts are not the problem...it is more likely to be a problem with the
projector, at least in my case.
