Thanks Greg!  It's good to see that the experimental measurements confirm
the theory... 

In the process of conducting these experiments I destroyed a
couple of RBT mounts and consumed valuable time of my expensive 750W bulbs.
(I am glad that I did not crack the lamp holders in my TDC 116 which are
made out of bakelite and not ceramic as in the 716!)
 
Perhaps the RBT Foundation could finance furhter research on the subject? ;)
