Nimslo closeups and flash

I've been doing some closeup work recently with my Nikon and an improvised
slidebar. I would like to take some closeups of (slowly) moving objects
and people, therefore the Nimslo seems to be an appropriate camera to use.
I have a set of plus lenses that will cover the center two lenses to allow
for closer focussing. I have a few questions for anyone out there who has
already done the experimentation. (I have the Reel 3D book on the Nimslo,
but it doesn't go into great detail on this subject.)
1. The Nimslo Opti-Lite flash has a large moveable head that will "bounce"
flash, and a much smaller fixed position head mounted near the base. In a
closeup situation-say about 36", will using the flash with both heads aimed
straight on, give acceptable results?
2. The plus lenses I have are +1, +2, and +4. I would probably just duct
tape these lenses temporarily to the front of the camera to take my shots.
Has anyone done experimentation in differing lighting situations that will
give the ranges for acceptable depth of field? The Nimslo, I believe uses
f5.6 when the flash is attached, and uses varying f stops without the flash
attached, as in daylight conditions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Steve Owsley.
