I will shed some light (nyuck!) on this topic, too.  I tried one of the 3-D Magic 
flash units (cute and very little thing that would be the perfect companion for 
snapshots and only $9.95).  It would not fire with my Nimslo, but would fire with 
every other camera I own.  All of my other flashes fire with the Nimslo--just not 
this one I specifically bought for it!  Sigh.
