I have a set of Viewmaster reels which have underwater shots that, from
the "informational blurb", I believe were done with a twin camera setup in
a custom built housing.

With all the milling you've done with your flash adapter, you should be
able to build your own u/w housing for a twin setup. You'd need a PVC
pipe with a big enough diamater to the twin camera setup and a plexiglass
plate for the front and the back. Mill a lip on the plexiglass plate so
that it fits into the PVC pipe. Then fit it with an "O" ring. Same thing
with the back end.

I don't think the Nikonos 5 has an electronic shutter release. I have a
4A with the same (I think, it's been a while since I've used it) 5 pin
connector and I'm pretty sure it's all dedicated to strobe.

Keep me posted on what you finally come up with. If I ever get some
"extra money" (Ha... with two toddlers?) I may look into this more.
Besides, a slide presentation at our dive club meeting a couple of years
back is what got me interested in 3D photography in the first place.

Ron Beck
