Let me apologize to Dr. T for seemingly casting aspersions
on his beloved viewers. It was my ignorance not to realize
I had a Focal Length question. As for optics and magnification
it was my 15x lupe (and I refuse to use anything less powerful)
that convinced me none of the various flavors of 35mm
has enough resolution for me.

Actually the $3 viewers suck in all respects save that they
are cheap (especially when one wants to give them away as
gifts) and not all that bad (look at a slide in GAF viewer,
costing at least 3 times as much, for a definition of
chromatic aberration).

However, I'm still a bit confused on FL. With a camera
lens the longer the FL the smaller the angle of view
thus apparently enlarging the image. Dr. T's reply
suggests the longer the FL of the viewer the smaller
the image. What have I missed here, which had me
concluding the smaller image of the $3 viewer was
due to a shorter FL.

Many Thanks,
Tim Maffia who is willing to sell the Kodaslide II
at a modest 250% profit just to discourage such
silly thoughts as trying to get him to part with
it.
