Verascope F40 Queries

Could anyone who is able provide any information on the Verascope F40
please email me as I just acquired one with no instructions.

One thing is the film counter seems to makes no sense. I realize it is
probably a 1 and then 3 advance - but how can you tell what number of
exposures are left?
