An advantage of taking more than two images is that even with 
software technology that is available today, one could take 3
or 4 different perspective shots of a subject and then let the
computer render a 3D model. After this is done it would be a
simple matter to view the subject from more than those 4 original 
perpectives and in stereoscopic 3D no less.
Similiar to the 60 lens camera in SA magazine.

You might be happy with the quality of your pics but alot of professional
photographers use photography software to enhance their pics for a
variety of reasons, that are cumbersome or impractical the traditional
way. An example of this is merging shots and taking the best features
of positive and negative film in a single pic. But if your happy that's
what counts.
