Not exactly. Actually, both of these appear to be Prototypesbut the first
unit sold for about $2,200, and looks identical (well, nearly) to a normal
Macro, except for the black finish. Several years ago, a collector-dealer
put several of these together and they sold just like Macros--useable but
they looked "neat".

The second listed Macro was actually much more primative and sold for
more--it was actually the earlier styled prototype...it had two discreet
lenses set in the shutter, and it appeared that leather covered areas that
eventually were painted black. The front had no name, the top was partially
covered with leather, and it seemed to me to be more a shelf piece than a
user. At 50% more, someone aquired an interesting addition to a collection,
but when I bid, I was afraid it would not give correct and focused images.

On the other items, I have seen a few Simdas go, over the years, at about
$1500-$2000, so again, this price was in line with expectations. The Duplex
sold for about $500, only a little cheaper than they have been going for in
other European auctions. I noticed the one dummy camera which looked a bit
like the Delta, did not reach minimum (about $275) and was unsold.

If anyone has a site, but no catalogue, I could e-mail them a jpeg of
the pair of Macros, and they could post the picture for anyone to view.

PS...if anyone wants to trade their "normal" macro toward the useable
prototype, please e-mail me: hposter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
