Dr T asked:

> Why did Brackett put zoom lenses in the new generation of projectors???

Dr T...the answer is simple......when you do a llllot of shows like I
do....in a lot of different environments...where you have little control of
the optimum distance from projector to screen...re: obstacles....electric
cords, stages.....low hanging lights....to start with a few......those zoom
lenses help you to fill the screen as best possible.

Granted...in doing tests with Bob Brackett just this past
tuesday......noticeable differences in brightness were evident, and that is a
trade off with the zooms......and there is no argument for that.....but the
zooms that Bob Provides are really nice......sharp. No doubt though....the
brighteset and sharpest will come from fixed lenses.

I am off......zoooooooom! Happy Holidays...Jon
