Yes, I agree that's what SFW does (the slides are optional, hence clearly
not the originals), but in your original post you said "How else do you
expect to get slides and prints fro the same roll of film?", and I simply
pointed out one alternative way to do this.  SFW's way isn't the only way,
but it is probably the cheapest way (and, as usual, you get what you paid
for: mediocre results).

It's been pointed out too that SFW won't return uncut rolls.  I suspect
that's because their entire operation is highly automated for high
volume turnover.  Just about everything has a bar code and/or a code
number on it, they give you little stickers with your customer number
to attach to the film canisters.  Your roll is assigned a roll # when
it arrives, and the backs of each print are stamped with the print
number, roll number and your customer number.  Clearly they are not
interested in providing custom services like uncut rolls because this
would slow down their production line...
