Is it me or the Franka beam splitter?

     Just got a new Franka beam splitter from Reel 3-D.   Having trouble 
with, of all things, the focusing.

    We're using the thing for prints, which we get processed in Panorama 
format.  You get back 4"  x 12"  prints, cut them in half and stick them 
on a ViewMagic card.

    Got back our first rolls this week.  In several snaps the _left_ 
image is crisp and sharply focused, but the _right_ image of the same 
photo is fuzzy and noticibly out of focus.  We're shooting from 8 - 15 
feet, so distance from each half-frame to the subject is nearly identical.

   What don't I understand?



  ( Sorry if you old timers have been over this 11 times.  I _did_ try a 
web text search of the archives.  And opening 6 MB archive downloads 
crashes my Mac. )
