In response to Sid's question about the halogen bulb in the Sterematic 500
projector:

The halogen lamps require no electrical alteration. The bayonet mount and
its base are identical. The smaller halogen bulb is raised by a ceramic
pedestal so that the elements are at the right height. It is best to remove
the mirror and lens cages from either side of the lamp so that you can get
your fingers in to install lamp by touching only the brass base and the
ceramic pedestal. You still have to apply downward pressure on the bulb as
you turn it, but as usual, make sure that you use some sort of cloth between
your fingers and the bulb.

These bulbs have a life of 100 hours; CZX bulbs have a life of 25 hours.
These have 13000 lumens; CZX have 10000.

I did a test (rather unscientific) with results that showed a 10% increase
in brightness with the halogen bulb. Hope this helps.
