Why?  I'll tell you why... I still have a Realist don't I?  I have the
option of mounting every one of the 20 (film loss, yes) stereo pairs in a
5p mount and nothing has changed, right?  Right.  But, if I feel like it, I
can now use a 7p mount and see more of a good Realist thing.  

That's why!
