photo-3d prehistory

About 15 months ago, to celebrate digest 1000, John B sent out (to those
who asked) 3 large compiliations of early posts to the list. 2 of these
were composed of digests 1-10. The third is material that seems to have
been edited out of digest 5 for size considerations (it's 115k). This is
a compilation of favorite posts from the old 3d list that was posted to
P3D on 11-16-92. The old posts are all from way back in 1990.

You can get these posts in one of two ways:
1. They are in the first of the mega-files in the archive directory
(archive_930309.txt.Z). This file is slightly larger than 1MB
uncompressed. If you're on a PC, there are utilities that can handle the
unix compress format. (Winzip & gzip, for example).

2. You can e-mail me, and I'll forward John B.'s post to you. Your mailer
must be able to handle a 115K file. For this service, all I ask is that
you name your firstborn after me. Or, if already have kids,
then in lieu of changing your firstborn's name, you can name a goldfish
after me. (but you have to care for it properly and give it a decent
burial, none of this flushing business) :)
