The LC shutter glasses present the left view of the movie to your left
eye, and the right view of the movie to your right eye. But this only
matches what you would see in real life if your head is vertical with
respect to the projector/screen. If you tilted your head 90 degrees to
the left, then you would see two images vertically displaced, but it would
not appear to be stereo. If you were upside down and watched the movie,
I think the image would be pseudoscopic (foreground and background reversed).

When you tilt your head slightly, it causes a small vertical displacement
between the two views, which may look like ghosting.
