Realist Light Fall off in lenses

When I was designing a new slide mount for the "Realist" format, some
photographers urged an aperture with more squared off corners. However,
someone connected with the factory pointed out that some of the f3.5
camera's were prone to vignetting. That's why the Realist aluminum
slide mounts have such rounded corners. So apparently this was something
they were aware of, and the problem varied with the different lens sources.
