Star Ratings -- start earning yours at the Hollywood Stereo Exhibiton

Recognition of your work in stereo is a great reward -- and Star Ratings
through the Photographic Society of America are a widely recognized
measure of that recognition.  You can earn points toward your star
rating by getting acceptances in an international exhibition run
according to PSA rules. 

One such exhibition, the Hollywood International Stereo Exhibition, is
nearly upon us again, and I just wanted to remind everyone of it. If you
don't have an entry form and want one, just e-mail me at
3d-image@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and I'll send you a copy immediately.  The
deadline is January 22nd, but I'll accept entries up through January
24th, the day before the judging. The competition accepts four slides in
only the 1 5/8" x 4" slide pair format (Realist, European, four-sprocket
or Nimslo pairs, etc.), preferably mounted in glass; no twin 2X2's or
cards (sorry!  Maybe next year for twin 2X2's). 

Last year we attracted a great deal of attention by doing a catalog with
all the award winning slides, plus an HM or two, printed in full color
as free-view pairs.  This year's catalog will be similar and will be one
you'll want to keep, because it gives you a good idea of the caliber of
slide necessary to win awards in an international exhibition, especially
if you have never attended a judging or have never seen one of the
required showings of such exhibitions.  The Unsinkable Dr. George
Themelis did very well last year, getting four acceptances out of four
slides submitted.  Hope we'll see his excellent work again this year!
