Re: 7P Dr. T?

Wolfie! A film cutter helps in cutting the closely spaced Realist
frames and you should not have any problem unless if the Realist
shows a frame overlap (which is rather common in various degrees).
Scissors will work too but you need a steady hand!!!

>I want to know is if the 7p camera is as good as 5p or better.

There is no 7p camera. What is available, for the first time in the
Realist history, is a conversion of a regular 2.8 Realist to 7p by
3d hobbyist John Slivon. The camera is the same and it is your
very camera. Nothing has changed within the 5p frame. But now you
have more of a good thing extending to 7p with a few extra benefits
thrown in (like the 5 mm wide band between each frame) at the expense
of film.  That's all!

-- George Themelis, proud owner of a 7P Realist.

Note: I made the mistake earlier to call it "first" 7P Realist.
Well it is not the first, considering that View Master (from all
companies!) made 3 prototypes (see earlier P3D discussion and Wolfgang
Sell's article in "Stereoscopy", Ser. 2, No, 19, June 1994.) These
prototypes must now worth lot's of $$$ to collectors. Also, John
made one for himself (check earlier discussions). However, mine
might be the first private conversion for a fee! The conversion
is not cheap, considering the labor and custom parts involved,
but it is worth every penny for me!!! The way I see it:

0p -> 5p = $$$ +  <--------------------------> (huge leap)
5p -> 7p = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ + <---> (small improvement)

Or, something like that... ;)
