Vertical 7p is here!

Ok, let's put this puppy to rest. You can have vertical 7p, or nearly so,
by ganging two Olympus Pen F or FT vertical half frame cameras (or any two
vertical half frame cameras-- the Olympus is just a very nice piece of
machinery). Since the lens is off to one side, just make a zig zag bracket
out of aluminum and tap it for 1/4-20. One camera will be right side up,
the other will be upside down. The stereo base will be about the same as
your usual production stereo camera because of the lens offset on the
camera. Use a Reel 3D mechanical dual cable release to fire the cameras.
Also, you'll gain the advantage of using an slr for composition...

Now, as to mounts.... Want full height 4p aluminum mounts? Ok! No problem!
Buy some Albion mounts in Nimslo format. Using a paper cutter, lop off the
top (wide part) of the Albions. Using two of your chopped mounts (one part
on top, one on the bottom), you get a full vertical 4p wide mount, with
full height-- the only drawback is that it takes two Albions to make one
full height 4p mask.
