Re: Dominant eye
Here's another way to determine which eye is dominant:
Look across the room at a small item. Keep both eyes open. Now hold
up one finger at arms length and place the fingertip over the item's
image so that it appears to be directly on the item. You will have
chosen the dominant eye without thinking. Notice that one of the two
finger-images is directly on the item and the other is far removed.
The dominant eye is the one that thinks the finger is on the item.
If you keep trying this, you will get mixed up because consciously
thinking about where you are putting your finger destroys the
spontaneity of the choice. It's similar to the confusion you get if
you try to think about which way to fold your arms or to fold your
hands. Spontaneously, only one way feels right, but if you think
about it and try it repeatedly, both ways feel equally awkward.
