unmoderated group?(news)

  I have visited alt.3d, It is divided in to 3 sub groups, misc.,
sirds,and studio.  I was thinking of a new news group called 
alt.3d sell.  I suggest that you reference this and T3D in a header 
for new members in digest mode.  
  News groups have the advantage of reader selection by subject and
the poster's address.  Am I correct that news articles automatically
drop from the site?
