Using Flash Bulbs

Hi Gang:

In Digest 1814, Greg Campos writes:

Get a Realist stereo flash, and whenever you go by a
thrift store (second hand store) buy your flash bulbs
at about 10 cents a piece...Its a very powerful flash!

Well, I found one of those Realist flash guns at a Portland, OR camera
show a couple of months ago (hey, for 15 bucks, complete with box and
instructions, could I go wrong?) and I bought a box o' bulbs from Paul
Baker real cheap. Now I need to know if there is such a thing as a guide
number for these bulbs? In other words, if I set my shutter speed at
1/25, how far away should my subject be if I am using ASA 100 film? Any
tips?

Thanx,
