realist flash

I recently posted on using a 2-56 bolt to replace the orginal
realist"bump" in the hot shoe. I failed to mention that certain flashes
work better than others. Vivitar 283's work real well as do smaller
flashes like sunpack auto 24 and other smaller flash units. many of
these will allow room to reach the shutter release button as well as
cable release or self timer devices. Sorry i failed to mention this in
the original post. Grant, it really can be nice to not have the adaptor
slide out if you tilt the camera and have everything falls out on you!!
It more or less takes dedicating a specific flash unit and getting it to
fit the hot shoe just right, not to tight, not too loose.
I still like this concept and have adapted all my cameras to this design
