Copying old tech info

I agree with you, George. People who duplicate the old out of print
technical info relating to stereo are keeping the information alive and
out there. Personally I'd ignore any "advice" from "concerned citizens" 
about making copies. The only person one needs to pay any attention to is
the attorney of the holder of a valid copyright, who will generally issue
a cease and desist request, and that's the end of it. The onus of
protecting a copyright or patent is on the holder of it, and failure to
defend the intellectual property moves the copyright or patent into the
public domain, which is the way it's supposed to work-- e.g. use it or
lose it.
