Thanks, Re: Pot-Belly Bulbs
Thanks all for your help,
The bulbs are CZA rated at 500 watts/120 volts. On the old (still working)
bulb is a '25' which I assume is the hours rating. The only other marking
is a small '91', which probably was the year of manufacture. Reading
postings and seeing that someone else uses CZA bulbs in this projector begs
a question: Are CZA and CZX interchangable? This bulb has 4 slender
prongs on their base surrounding a cylindrical extension. The coils and
reflector are as described by Greg W.
The fan is making all the proper noises and forcing air through the system
so I'm fairly optimistic that the projector is in good working order. I
give a look over for obstructions.
BTW I paid $375, including tax, for the projector, sans case, but with a
standard silver screen and a bag full of polarizing glasses. I guess I
really wanted to know that I wasn't being taken to the cleaners and left
without the bag over my head.
Cheers,
Kevin
