Like Elliot said, the distance between shots depends on the focal length 
of the lens, the distance to the closest object, the distance to the
farthest object, and the distance to the subject, (and the film format
used.)

It also depends on the number of images used and which frame pairs you
can see, at a given distance.
                                                            
In answer to you question, there is not a set distance that you can use.
It depends on the situation.
