Generally when I want to take a photo in public for my own personal use and
people just happen to be around, I simply raise my camera, point it at
whatever I'm photographing, make the neccessary adjustments and take the
picture. If there is anyone within my picture-taking vicinity who does not
want to be photographed, they will move out of the way. Otherwise they will
continue on with whatever they're doing. The short amount of time it takes me
to focus and check all settings on my Realist before I actually hit the
shutter is usually long enough for them to move out of the way if the picture
bothers them that much. Just my opinion maybe.
