A better 3Discover?

I started wondering about the cartridge design, what would make it a
better design, when Wrebbit might have created the design (it takes a
long time to bring something like this to market, so it wasn't "last
year.") And what I think would work great for 3Discover is...oh, no,
the dreaded APS! In an APS camera, you just drop the cartridge inside
and the camera somehow gets the film out, winds it out and winds it back,
and then you take the cartridge out. Adopting APS style film loading,
thereby dramatically decreasing the size of each "cartridge" would, IMO,
make a monumental difference in the viability of the concept. Note I do
not say it would guarantee success. There is still the whole issue of
whether the masses care to look at 3D images anymore. (Out of all the
"oohs" and "aahs" we've all heard showing off 3Discover to non-stereo
types, how many of those people ran out and bought a viewer?) But I
think the current design is doomed to fail in the long run, regardless
of how many people might suddenly decide they *want* 3D images. In all
liklihood, 3Discover was designed before APS film advance technology
reached the market, so it is understandable the current product does
not feature that technology. I can only hope that Wrebbit is already
moving in this direction.
The above is not meant as an endorsement of APS, or even to suggest that
Wrebbit should switch to film of APS *dimensions*--just that they need to
adopt APS film advance and rewind technology if they are to have any hope
of making a significant impact on the market.
