OK, after racking my brain for hours as to why DrT may have been
offended, I realized that this prelimary comment I made before making
my main point may be misinterpreted if the full context was not
not clear.  "Average user" was meant to refer to John Q. Public (JQP);
The part about "many of us more familiar with stereo" getting tired
of the excessive use of hyper was meant as a prediction that among
P3D subscribers and stereo enthusiasts everywhere, there may be
more of a tendency to tire of the use of one type of stereo (hyper)
instead of a more balanced mix of stereo techniques, as opposed to
JQP who may never even realize that other stereo techniques exist.
This was a comparison of stereo enthusiasts to JQP, not an attempt to
stratify stereo enthusiasts by experience level.  I apologize for not
being more clear the first time.
