Re: Ortho and Hyperstereo

I sent this message in another form and it never made it so here goes
again.
Why is it that hypostereo is so much more "acceptable" than
hyperstereo? Aren't all the things and reasons that make hypers
"objectionable" the same for hypos? Like others I find hypers
enjoyable but not a steady diet. On the other hand I never grow tired
of macro shots. Two of my favorite entries in expo2-3d were the toad
on the finger and the bees in the hive. Judging from the comments I
saw, the majority of other viewers also enjoyed these shots. When I
look at a hyper of the Grand Canyon I feel like a giant, but when I
look at a hypo of an insect I don't feel like a midget (my apologies
- I don't know the current politically correct term). Is this the
same for others?
Just some thoughts.
Thanks for the time,
