I have always considered it a "mistake" when I mount pseudo, but this
sounds interesting! It reminds me of discussion of the cubist movement in
art. For example, Picasso's later portraits, which distort the human form
in uncomfortable ways, present multiple perspectives in one image. I seem
to remember some that were an "inside-out" perspective.

Most of us have seen face sculptures that appear normal when viewed
"straight on" but are actually concave - but you can't tell till you look
from an angle. The brain doesn't expect a concave face ... depth clues
alone are not enough to convince it. I've had similar problems
interpreting views of lunar craters.

I think I'll have to try a few pseudos - perhaps this thread will create a
new movement in photographic art: the "Pseudoscopic" or "Antiscopic" era -
someday regular stereo will be Post-Pseudo! ;^)  (And we were here at the
beginning!)
