|this would not burn your eyes out. But don't purposely point a pocket

I zapped myself in the eyeball with a 5mw class III laser (I think) 
a couple of years ago. It was *very* bright. I had a dark spot in that
area of my vision for awhile (like an hour) but fortunately I didn't
do any permanent damage. This was a very short exposure, more like
a swipe across my field of vision than a stationary spot, though.

I've used them in class on many types of screens, and have never
had any complaints from the students. However, it is necessary
to be careful not to hit any shiney Aluminum strips or (especially in my
case) computer monitor screens at an angle that will reflect back to the
audience.
