Sorry that I didn't put my two-cents worth in earlier...I have been way
behind on reading photo-3D emails.
I used to repair/restore 3D projectors, and back around 1981 I acquired
a Project-or-View which had a badly deteriorated rear screen. I tracked
down the manufacturer and ordered a replacement (fairly expensive, as it
was a custom one-off deal). I have not been able to find any record of
the transaction, but I believe that the product, which was made for
rear projection, was called "Polaview", or something like that, and I
cannot remember the name of the manufacturer.
I did initially try a piece of ground glass, but found that it
completely de-polarised the image. Too bad.
Hope this helps.
