X-eyed Mountain-Dew
I was able to see the differences between hyper-, hypo-, ortho-,
and pseudo stereo, with two cans of Mountain Dew.
Take two Identical cans of pop (soda) and set them next to each
other. Make sure the images on the cans are the same distances from
the top and are not rotated any.
Cross your eyes (or free view them) until they fuse. Now close one
eye, then the other, to check how much of the left side of the can
you can see with each eye. make sure it is the same. You should
have a flat, non-stereo image.
Now, very, very slowly rotate the left one clockwise (right one,
counter-clockwise, if free viewing). The image will start out flat,
become hypo-stereo, then ortho, then Hyper-stereo.
To see pseudo-stereo, start with the flat fused image and turn the
can the other direction.
Do it very, very slowly to give your brain time to soak it all in.

Hope this helps someone.
