Seeing as how it's "unrelated", I'll be brief.  It
isn't *you* the telco wants to charge for your internet
connection (not directly), but your ISP's connection on
the other end.  Easier for them just to charge them, then
have them raise their price to you.

Presumably telco's that provide internet service won't
charge themselves.  :-)

P.S. - To throw in a bit of 3D photography.... today's meeting
       of the Cascade Stereographic Club lasted for about 3.5 hours
       (a record I think) and was fun every second..... if you
       are in this area and missed it, you missed a great one!
