Re laser 3D pointers

I have checked on the French stereo club article it is No 779 May 1994 page
17 of the "bulletin mensuel du ste're'o-club Francais and is by Rolland
Duchesne.
Some points which I did not remeber correctly are that it does use a screw
device to alter the convergence berween the two laser pens as someone on
this list has suggested . Not a triger as I thought the control in the
handle of the "gun" is just a button to switch both lasers together. He
used the "Simda mini laser 1800" in triangular form. His device is fitted
with polaroids and someone on this list has suggested that laser light pens
are not polarised . This author himself seems to say that in principle they
are but that their plane is not certain but my french is not good. What he
actualy says is "Par principe, la lumiere emise par ces lasers est
polarisee, mais comme il n'est pas certain que le plan de polarisation par
rapport. He demonstrated his device at a meeting of his society in January
1994.
John Roberts asked about the suitability of He/Ne laser goggles for 670nm
laser pen , the He/Ne laser I use at work with goggles is 6328 Angstroms or
632.8nm class II 1 mw so the emission wavelenth at least is quite close and
I would have though they would be suitable for any laser outputing in the
red . But I am not shure how wide the absorption bandwidth is for the green
filters in these goggles so it would be as well to check. P.J.Homer
