Excuse me? ;)

Another way of explaining, "chips are reversed": it is as if you put the
reel in the viewer backwards, i.e. with the printed side away from you.

Don't know if your reels will be the same, but on my copy of A-1582 (No
Nazeley# match), "HOOVER DAM, Nevada U.S.A.", the first two views are
reversed. Compare these to other similar views. I note this on page 98 in
the Reels and Views section of my book.

Without getting too wordy, the first view is also used elsewhere, with
different captions, and printed correctly there. The view is used in another
editon of the Hoover Dam packet on reel A-1581, view #2, and in the Mountain
State Packet on reel A-1363, view #5. Follow the "Reels used on" cross
references on page 11 of the "Subjects" section of the book.

The second view seems to only be used on this reel. It's on page 12 in the
subjects section.

And another reversed set of views, is between hand lettered reel (Nazeley
style #14) #118, "Kings Canyon, Nat'l Park", view #2, and the Leroy
Letterset lettered reel (Nazeley style #19) #118, "Kings Canyon, National
Park, California, U.S.A.",view #2", the "California Tree". These are noted
in the Reels and Views section on pages 17 and 18. Since I have no other
views of this tree so I don't know which view is correct.

Hope this helps

Bob Shotsberger
