Yes, it is.  Especially with only a handful of people practicing it ;)

You think so?  How about projection?  Is this the easy part? ;)
Now, I assume you are talking about slides here.  Do you see any
advantage of the medium format for those who make prints?

So, who are the other 6? ;)

My main concern with medium *slide film* format is that *sharing* images
via personal or publicly organized exchanges or slide competitions is 
severely limitted.  I have seen Realist-format slides from hundreds 
and hundreds stereo enthousiasts from all over the world.  With medium
format I would only be seeing images from a dozen or so guys...
