For the record: I was kiddding big time!!! You must be crazy NOT to take
your camera with you or not take plenty of pictures! It is a well-known
fact that the best part of the vacation is mounting the stereo pictures
later back at home.

You will not regret it. The memories of the trip will fade away much
faster than the pictures.

I have been stereo documenting our vacations since 1988. I now go back and
look at these pictures and relive each vacation. Memories come back when I
see the pictures in full color and depth. I am amazed how fast people
change. We think we remember how your children, parents or ourselves
looked when younger. Well, we don't! We can hardly recognize our
children in these older shots.

Places change too. Why not document the places that you visit so you can
compare 20 years later? Not to mention that your children our relatives
who inherit those pictures might be very happy that you took them as we
all now wish that our parents had stereo documented our lives and cities
when we were young.

Sometimes my wife complains when I disappear or wander for ever taking
pictures while on vacation. I make it clear that the reason I am here in
this vacation is to take pictures and this is the most important thing fo
me. Selfish? Maybe, but one day she will thank me since she too enjoys
looking at these pictures.

So, Chuck, bring your camera and make sure that you bring plenty of film!
Those who shoot slide film might be disappointed by the lack of selection
or high prices of slide film on vacation spots. Bring plenty of film, take
plenty of pictures and it is OK if you bring some rolls back. Putting
things into perspective, the cost of stereo photography has always been
only a small fraction of the total vacation cost.
